The Word of God tells us in St. Luke 18:1 that Jesus was speaking to his disciples and said to them “men ought always to pray and not to faint.” Jesus was letting them know that we don’t have to faint because of the trials and tests that we will have to face in our lifetime but can triumph in Him. In Galatians 6:9, the Apostle Paul encourages God’s people to “not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap if we faint not”. We read in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”.
