Pastor Charles E. McCorkle

Pastor Charles E. McCorkle is the visionary leader of the Wesley Chapel Holiness Church. Pastor McCorkle’s leadership skills did not come without preparation. In 1988 he, under the leadership of Apostle Samuel Ervin of El Shaddai Full Gospel Baptist Church, was ordained to the gospel ministry. As an understudy to Apostle Ervin, Pastor McCorkle served as Associate Minister and Youth Pastor among other ministry roles. However, this training would only be supplemented by the things that the Spirit of God would later manifest in his life.

In 2003, upon hearing the voice of God calling him to another level, Pastor McCorkle was led to First Institute Family Worship Center in Gastonia, North Carolina under the leadership of Rev. Franklin L. Clark. In this season of ministry, he served as the leader of the Men’s Ministry and Ministers Ministry. These ministry opportunities offered Pastor McCorkle the chance to impact the lives of men in the church as well as the unique opportunity to lead other ministers. Pastor McCorkle is humbled by Gods divine providence in placing him as the under-shepherd over His flock. Consequently, Pastor McCorkle firmly believes that he has been anointed and appointed for such a time as this. His ministry objective is clear: to teach and preach the Kingdom to all people that they may know Jesus as Lord and personal Savior. In meeting his objective, Pastor McCorkle is blessed to have the full support of his lovely wife Angie McCorkle of thirty-one years in marriage and his two daughters Orita and Whitney.

First Lady Angie D. McCorkle

Prophetess Angie D. McCorkle is the Leading Lady of Wesley Chapel Holiness Church where her husband of over twenty-eight years Pastor Charles E. McCorkle serves as Senior Pastor. Lady McCorkle accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 16. While others her age ran rampant enjoying their frivolous teen years, Lady McCorkle decided to begin preparing herself for the work of the ministry. She furthered her preparation during the eighteen years she served under the leadership of Apostles Samuel and Pecolia Ervin of El Shaddai Full Gospel Baptist Church. In 2003, God transitioned her and her husband to another area of ministry at First Institute Family Worship Center in Gastonia, North Carolina under the leadership of Rev. Franklin L. Clark.

As Lady McCorkle grew in the grace of God, she began to hear the voice of God calling her into the ministry. Lady McCorkle was ordained as a minister of the gospel and called as a Prophetess to prepare the way of the Lord. She is not one who believes in the importance of titles, but in the importance of the anointing that God has placed on the titleholder. Although she is an esteemed woman of God, Lady McCorkle maintains her humility walk with Christ. Her greatest joys in preaching and teaching come when one soul is set free to walk in the abundant life of Jesus Christ. This is the realization of her goal in ministry. In addition to being a champion for the cause of Christ, Lady McCorkle is an advocate for education. After graduating from East Lincoln High School, she furthered her education at Gaston & Belmont Abbey College. Lady McCorkle, in addition to being a minister, prophetess, psalmist, and wife, is also a loving mother to her two daughters Orita and Whitney.
